Global Storage Capacity Planning Analyst, GTI CIS - Based in London

Storage Capacity Planning Analyst role:
CIS Storage Capacity Planners are responsible for storage solution availability in one of the world's largest storage and backup environments, supporting a truly global footprint. You will work within the Storage Capacity team where they evaluate storage capacity to meet business needs in our rapidly changing environment. You will develop innovative solutions to more effectively use our infrastructure, and closely partner with demand managers and business representatives on critical firm-wide initiatives.
For this job, you'll bring extensive logical and hands-on technical skills covering a wide range of Storage products and the ability to successfully interact with engineering, project, purchasing and business teams will be imperative.
Responsibilities:Provide analysis to assist with understanding of capacity supply and demand across all storage solutionsIdentifying capacity forecast needs that ensure accurate management updatesIdentify tool and process improvements to optimise resource capability; then move to productionReview reporting requirements and presentation tools to deliver accurate status records to facilitate optimum placement and utilisation decisioningDevelop effective presentations for a range of audiences clarifying capacity and related programs.Explore unique and lateral methodologies to contain the storage footprint and cut infrastructure costsProvide team SME's cover and assist with delivery of Business Case analysis to support purchase requests

Qualifications
Requirements:Technical skills to develop Storage capacity models of existing environments to improve efficiencySignificant experience in the use of MS Office data tool set (Excel/Access)Experience and knowledge in Capacity Management practice as per ITILv3 processes.Strong working knowledge of:SAN technology: EMC, Hitachi, Brocade and CISCONAS technology: NetApp and EMCBackup Technologies: Symantec NetBackup, Aptare, EMC Data Domain, FalconStorExtensive experience working with Unix and Windows platformsBA or BAS degree preferred in computer science or equivalent extensive work experience.About JPMorgan Chase Co.J.P.
