Head of Legal recruitment
Location: Hefei, Anhui
The main purpose of this Head of Legal is to deliver high quality legal counseling throughout the company, to advise on legal requirements from the different business areas and to ensure the implementation and enforcement of regulations. This job holder will contribute to the development and delivery of relevant strategies, policies and services that secure the achievement of company objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide specialist legal advice to the company as appropriate to ensure that the company acts within its statutory, regulatory and constitutional obligations.
- Provide the strategic and operational lead for Legal Services.
- Control the adequacy of the draft legislation, orders, instructions, regulations and other legal acts, which are prepared within the company and take part in drafting these documents if necessary.
- Participate in developing and negotiating terms of business contracts and supervise their implementation.
- Provide methodical management of legal work for the company, to provide legal assistance to Departments.
- Oversee case management process to ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- Contribute to corporate policy, direction, and management across all areas of the business.
- Managing, sourcing and monitoring of external legal services.
REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in Law. Postgraduate and/or Law studies will be a plus.
- Prior experience in a corporate Legal environment.
- Managerial experience at senior level in Legal practice.
- Practical legal knowledge within the financial sector.
- Knowledge in Corporate, Commercial and/or Finance law.
- Performance driven goal oriented.
- Analytical skills, problem solving and negotiating skills.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Fluency in English, Spanish knowledge would be a plus.
