Lead Ambassador
- Attend the pre-event briefing at the start of the shift in the mall office.
- Take the lead of the staff and direct people as necessary to accomplish the goals of the marketing event.
- Complete the transfer of gift cards in the safe with the mall office by verifying the total number of gift cards in the safe with the mall office by verifying the total number of gift cards received at the beginning and end of each program.
- Direct staffers so that (2) staffers are on the floor walking throughout the mall engaging shoppers, delivering perks surprises to them according to protocol program and handing out retailer flyers.
- Direct staffers so that (2) staffers are on the at the Redemption Zone on the lower level by Macy's collecting receipts from the day from shoppers, totaling them and those shoppers having $100 or more in Burlington Town Center receipts from that day are provided with a $10 gift certificate according to protocol (Merrier Friday events can be cumulative with receipts from December 2,9, 17); signing up shoppers for The Club and handing out retailer flyers.
- Substitute for staffs when on breaks so that the Redemption Zone and floor is always covered.
- Lead Ambassador is expected to be the liaison with the mall office. Any and all issues should be brought to the attention of the Lead Ambassador and then to Mall Management. Ensure that the Redemption Zone is kept neat and orderly for the best possible presence for the shoppers
- At the conclusion of the program, LA should:
1. Direct and assist staffers in bringing event elements back to the assigned storage area.
2. Bring all gift card tracking forms, Club entries, and remaining gift cards in the safe to the management office.
3. Complete the reconciliation of gift cards given out and gift cards remaining.
4. Complete transfer of gift cards to Mall Management.
Marketing Event Goals
• Engage and excite shoppers with retailer offers, perks surprises and free gift cards.
• Out a retailer flyer in the hand of every shopper.
• Give away all gift cards, perks surprises available.
• Give away all magazine subscriptions.
• Account for all gift cards and subscriptions given out.

Redemption Zone Ambassador Duties
-Attend the pre-event briefing at the start of the shift in the mall office
- Two (2) staffers are to be manning the Redemption zone tables
RZ Ambassadors Job Duties:
1. Collect receipts from the event day from the shoppers, total them and those shoppers having $100 or more in receipts are provided with a free, $10 gift card according to protocol (see attached protocol and reference sheets). In the event a shopper has in close to the $100 minimum (event day receipts must total at least $50), they may use another receipt from a Burlington Town Center merchant (list attached) providing it is within the month of November, 2011.
2. Encourage shoppers to sign up for The Club. Membership in The Club entitles shoppers to exclusive retailer discounts, to be received either via email or text message, inclusion in special promotions such as free gift cards and a chance to win a $5000 shopping spree.
3. Put a retailer flyer in the hand of each shopper who does not already have one.
4. Maintain the Redemption Zone in a clean and orderly fashion.
5. Interact with shoppers, even those just walking by, to be sure they they're aware of today's even. Do your best to get them excited about shopping.
- The Lead Ambassador is in charge of event staff. If you have issues or concerns, bring them to the Lead Ambassador who will contact Mall Management, if necessary.
- Bathroom and other breaks must be covered by the Lead Ambassador. At no time should the RZ be left unattended or even with only 1 staff person.
- At the conclusion of the program, RZ staff should bring event elements back to the assigned storage area, along with the Lead Ambassador and other staffers.

Holiday Ambassador
- Attend the pre-event briefing at the start of the shift in the mall office.
- Two (2) staffers are to be moving through the mall (not the stores) shoring information with shoppers about the day's events, handing out perks and surprises, retailer offers and spreading holiday cheer.
- Holiday Ambassadors are to:
1. Be enthusiastic and engage shoppers as you move through the mall common area (not stores). Inform shoppers of the day's event.
2. Each Holiday Ambassador will receive a Merrier Shopping bag to hold perks and surprises.
3. You'll be provided with 500 perk and surprise gifts for shoppers. Review those giftrs and work together with the other Holiday Ambassador to identify shoppers who could appreciate a surprise- something! For example, if these is a crying child, approach the parent, tell them about the event and ask permission to give the child silly bands. *Always ask permission of an adult with the child before giving the child anything.*
4. Put a retailer flyer in the hand of each shopper who does not already have one.
5. Direct shoppers to the Redemption Zone with receipts totaling $100 or more to get a free, $10 gift card. Only BTC receipts count.
6. If weather permits and it is desired, you can also hand out fliers at the entrance of the Mall on Church Street. Please restrict all activities to the entrance area of the mall.
- The Lead Ambassador is in charge of event staff. If you have issues or concerns, bring them to the Lead Ambassador who will contact Mall Management, if necessary.
- Bathroom and other breaks must be covered by the Lead Ambassador. At no time should the Holiday Ambassador be working alone.
- At the conclusion of the program, Holiday Ambassador staff should bring event elements back to the assigned storage area, along with the Lead Ambassador and other staffers.
