HR Business Partner

Strategic partner that works closely with management teams to ensure effective planning and implementation of key Human Resources initiatives, policies and procedures. Be a collaborative partner to all employees and facilitate resolution of employee relations issues. The HRBP is a trusted advisor and strategic partner to the business management team in managing HR needs. This job develops and maintains a solid level of knowledge in all areas of HR to be a collaborative partner with all areas as appropriate in order to provide high quality service and support to business lines supported. HRBPs identify potential precedent-setting situations through organizational assessments, suggest appropriate changes in programs or processes to senior management, and use day to day interaction to provide guidance and support to business/employees on HR policies/programs. The HRBP must be viewed as a consultative change management agent in order to assist employees and managers in adapting and implementing change initiatives in the business/workplace environment.

Depth Scope:
- Apply knowledge of employment legislation and organization structures in support of the business
- Facilitate the implementation of HR programs/initiatives that support business needs, ensuring compliance with enterprise wide HR values and priorities, and alignment with business initiatives
- Partner with business management in identifying potential risks or any other gaps within the business line being supported
- Ensure ongoing communication with the team on the status/progress of projects and issues/points of interest
- Understand and support the business in achieving its objectives, while aligning to global TDBG HR values, priorities and practices
- Look for and monitor feedback, share successes, failures, and lessons learned as appropriate following HR Program implementation
- Conduct post-implementation reviews to ensure desired business results were achieved
- Identify potential risks and mitigate legal exposure/expenses for non-compliance with federal and state legislation
- Effective/efficient implementation of HR Programs including Performance Management and Development diversity initiatives and employee experience survey Pulse
- Creates/generates standard and ad-hoc reports for a variety of HR related data/statistics/management analysis
- Partners with managers and other necessary deparments ER, Legal, etc. to resolve complex issues and provide coaching and counseling assistance in employee relations issues
- Educate employees and management of company policies regularly participates in and may initiate the development of new policy and revision if existing policies
- Disseminates information to employees and managers and facilitates interaction on a wide range of HR related matters
- Responsibility for the execution of HR strategy and the implementation of HR policies
- Business lines supported may range in scope and moderate in complexity.

Education Experience:
- Minimum of a 4 year degree or equivalent experience
- 5-7 years related HR experience required
- In-depth knowledge of employment practices and extensive knowledge of federal and state employment laws with a strong background in employee relations, EEO, alternative dispute resolution and/or human resources compliance
- Excellent facilitation negotiation skills
- Outstanding relationship building, verbal written communication, analytical presentation skills
- Strong systems thinking, negotiating business consulting skills
- Technical proficiency with MS Office products
- Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities function as an effective business partner in a rapidly changing global corporation
- Excellent project management skills to manage facilitate multiple projects
- Must be available to travel throughout the region {43 stores}
- Preference for position to sit in Tyson's Corner, Calverton is also an option
