Job Description
 
The Human Resources Assistant provides administrative/clerical support to the daily operations of the Human Resource Department all Rothman Institute locations.
 
Status: Full Time
Hours: 40 per week
Days: Monday-Friday
Location: Center City  
                                                

ESSENTIAL DUTIES (This list may not include all duties assigned)
1.    Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by HR Manager
2.    Fields incoming phone calls and faxes to HR staff as appropriate
3.    Participates in recruitment effort for exempt and non-exempt personnel
4.    Organizes personnel records through weekly filing and maintenance
5.    Assists in bi-weekly new employee orientation process
6.    Assists with processing of new hires and employee separations
7.    Processes daily incoming mail
8.    Tracks FMLA, LOA, STD, LTD requests and claims for all RI locations
9.    Assists in the on-going employee audit process for company policies, benefit plans, I9 forms,
       and licensure/certification management
10.   Assists in tracking and preparing organization training and development efforts.
11.   Generates weekly new hire and termination reports, distributes to appropriate departments.
12.   Performs other duties as assigned.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS
ENVIRONMENTAL:   
Work performed in an office environemt.

VISION:       
Must be able to see 20/20 vision with correction.

COMMUNICATION:   
Must be able to effectively read, write, and communicate English language.

PHYSICAL:   
Requires manual finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination sufficient to use and operate standard office equipment. Must be able to lift 20 pounds. Requires sitting and standing for extensive periods of time.

TRAVEL:   
Limited to no travel required.

Qualifications
 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION:    
High School diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree in Human Resources or Business preferred.

LICENSURE:    
None

EXPERIENCE:   
One to two years prior experience in HR/business services with knowledge of principles and practices of HR preferred. Experience in healthcare environment preferred.
