Human Resources Director Job in San Diego, California US

Growing, dynamic company in the heart of San Diego is seeking an experienced, forward - thinking Human Resource Director. The Director of Human Resources is responsible for developing Human Resources policies and programs for the entire company. This individual must partner with executive management to help drive operational and organizational plans; assists and advises senior management on Human Resources issues.

Responsibilities include:

·         Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting Human Resources function (e.g., OSHA, EEO, AA, ERISA, Wage Hour, etc.). Monitors exposure of the company. Directs the preparation of information requested or required for compliance. Approves all information submitted.

·         Translate the strategic and tactical business plans into HR strategic and operational plans.

·         Provides strong guidance and analysis of benefit programs to include health insurance, 401K, etc.  Ensures competitive benefits, cost effectiveness and service levels are maintained.

·         Establishes wage and salary structure, pay policies, performance appraisal programs, employee benefit programs (health insurance, 401K) and services, and company safety and health programs. Monitors for effectiveness and cost containments.

·         Analyzes and recommends organizational and process improvement plans to include HRIS system.

Requirements:

·         Minimum 10 Years HR Generalist experience at the Senior Management level.

·         Four year degree

·         Strong communication skills

·         Strong background with compensation benefits, organizational development, talent management, recruiting staffing, employee/labor relations and leadership development.

·         Ability to effectively interact and communicate with multiple levels and disciplines.

·         Familiarity with employment and workplace safety laws and compliance requirements.

·         Strong business acumen is essential.

·         Proactive management style with excellent leadership abilities.
