Established in 1907, Gabriel North America designs, manufactures and distributes suspension products for the automotive aftermarket and other specialty vehicles. The company is the current market leader in suspension systems products. Gabriel NA currently employs more than 1,300 salaried and hourly employees at several locations in the US and Mexico. The company has two manufacturing facilities; one domestic US and one in Mexico. Revenues for the company are approximately $200MM.

 

Job Summary

This Human Resources position assists the HR Director in administering policies, programs and practices.  This position provides a wide variety of services and support for the organization, which includes recruiting, employee records, health and safety, employee relations and employee communications.

 

Principle Responsibilities 

·         Assists with writing policies and procedures ensuring thorough familiarity and that they are interpreted fairly and applied consistently.

·         Provides assistance to managers to identify recruitment needs, source candidates, and with final selection.

·         Maintains recruitment activities, including metrics, new hire and benefits orientation and the timely and accurately processing of new hire paperwork.

·         Maintains employment records confidentially to include employee files, I-9, and benefit files.

·         Administration of benefits updates and enrollment.

·         Assists with the facilitation of the annual performance management process.

·         Prepares annual AAP data as required.

·         Acts as the health and safety coordinator for the office.

Education/Experience:

·         Bachelor’s degree preferably in Human Resources Management.

·         Minimum three years of human resources experience including recruitment responsibilities.  

·         Solid understanding of labor laws and regulations.

·         Experience working with highly confidential information while maintain discretion.

·         Strong commitment to providing world-class customer service

·         Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
