Insolvency Cashier – Leeds

Who we are looking for

We have an opportunity for an Insolvency Cashier to join the Leeds Client Cash Management Services team on a 6 month contract basis

Client Cash Management Services (CCMS) is part of PricewaterhouseCoopers' UK, Business Recovery Services (BRS) practice. This is one of the largest and most successful practices in the world, providing advisory and insolvency services to lenders, creditors, companies and individuals in troubled financial situations. We have an outstanding reputation and reach through our strong City, International and UK regional teams.

Our Leeds CCMS team comprises of 7 staff and is responsible for the management and control of financial transactions and reporting for around three hundred client cases. The Leeds CCMS team is part of an overall National CCMS team (other locations Leeds and Scotland).

Key requirements good numeracy, accuracy, reconciliation skills, demonstrates a good level of internal customer service and has a sound knowledge of excel. Insolvency experience is desirable but not essential if evidence of other key requirements is demonstrated.

Additional information

This is an exciting opportunity to join the CCMS team on a fixed term contract, working as an Insolvency Cashier. CCMS provides insolvency cash management services to multiple internal lines of service who serve our external clients.

The team member/associate role reports to a Senior Associate and Senior Manager who reports to the National CCMS Director in London.

CCMS team responsibilities include:

*Opening and closing of bank accounts

*Banking and recording of receipts

*Processing payments manually and electronically

*Performing bank account reconciliations to required deadlines

*Preparation and filing of Statutory Returns and VAT returns

*Journal raising and posting

The role will not encompass all of the areas at once but the successful person will need to understand each role to be able to provide cover to manage workload and demonstrate rounded experience.

About the role

*Reconciling bank accounts to deadline

*Processing payments

*Banking/processing receipts

*Posting accounting journals

*General admin as required

*Ad hoc projects as required by manager

*The role is governed by segregation of duties controls so not all responsibilities will be undertaken at once but ability to be able to execute all requirements is required.

Requirements

The following skills are required for this role, a good track record with proven experience and aptitude being more important than formal qualifications however AAT can be prove to be useful.

Essential skills:

*Double entry book keeping

*Exposure to Insolvency would be an advantage but not a necessity

*Bank reconciliation experience

*Financial anaylsis skills

*Computer literacy including word and intermediate excel

*Good written and oral communication skills

*Evidence of being an effective team player, with evidence of contributing to team success

*Ability to form, develop and sustain good working relationships with the team and internal customers

*Evidence of risk awareness and working in a controls orientated environment

*Problem solving experience

*Evidence of flexibility and openness to change as a result of process improvement

*Experience of working with banking processes including electronic banking

*Ability to handle volume and work to deadline in a calm methodical /logical manner

*Ability to prioritise

*Able to take ownership/responsibility for tasks/duties

Desirable skills:

*Insolvency cashiering experience including production Stat returns and VAT returns
