Responsibilities

The Division of Information Services is seeking a talented and dedicated individual to fill the role of Technical recruiter. The central focus of this role is to recruit a pool of high quality candidates for each open position within the Division of Information Services. Develops and implements strategy to recruit and select both permanent and contracted staff for the Information Services organization both technical, executive and administrative in a highly competitive marketplace; manages recruitment process; ensures candidates meet hiring managers needs and requirements. Provides ongoing support of the on boarding of all new employees. Develops and trains the Information Services management staff on best practices for candidate selection, retention, and recruitment processes. Develops metrics and reporting on recruitment practices, and staffing. To ensure that essential services are provided to the university community, the employee will be required to work outside their regular working hours as needed.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or Information Systems.
A minimum of 5-7 years of demonstrated success in technical recruitment and staffing of technical human resources and IT skills assessment. Demonstrated understanding of skill sets needed for multiple Information Technology positions, including but not limited to hardware/software support, programming, internet/intranet testing and development, etc.; Strong initiative and ability to work independently. Proven ability to develop training and on-boarding programs to support both management and new candidates entering the organization.
Excellent communication and organizational skills with a strong attention to detail required. Ability to interact with a group of diverse individuals.
