Tax Term: FULLTIME
Tasks: Provide project management support to the Defense Logistics Agency HQ, J6 Information Operations; based upon the ITIL v3 service management framework.
Job Description:
Summit Technologies is currently seeking an experienced Information Technology Project Manager to support the Defense Logistics Agency resource stewardship governance efforts and enterprise-level strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will have “Big Four” accounting experience performing information technology audits for federal civilian and DoD agencies. The Project Manager will manage and provide assistance with the delivery of recommendations, project schedules, business process decompositions, and other work products that will enable DLA to design, refine, and implement standardized, repeatable, and compliant best practices in accordance with the DLA IT Operations Framework, which is based upon the ITIL v3 service management framework.
The candidate will provide wide-ranging managerial support in performing quality assurance reviews of client deliverables, submission of monthly invoices, monthly financial reporting and budgeting, and the development of weekly and monthly activity reports. The candidate will work as part of a Team to provide assistance in developing solutions. The Project Manager will be the primary interface to the customer and will participate in various TIA staff meetings on a weekly basis. The candidate will assist with recruiting and interviewing of potential candidates to include conducting phone screens.
Substantial familiarity with the FISCAM, NIST 800-53, ITIL and other IT controls assessment methodologies is required. Knowledge of other DoD Guidance (e.g, DoD Lifecycle Management, DODI 5000.2 and 5000.1, 8500.02) is anticipated. Preference is given to those candidates that have prior experience supporting DoD and specifically; DLA process mapping and IT audit efforts.
Qualifications:
- BA or BS degree
- Must have at least 5 years of relevant experience with at least 2-3 years as a project manager for large federal IT consulting engagements
- Ability to communicate and write effectively.
- Experience with NIST Special Publication 800-53 and other FISMA compliance initiatives is desired
- Familiarity with ITIL or ITIL certification is highly desired
- Strong writing, editing and communications skills required
- PMP certification is required
