The Girl Scouts of the Commonwealth of Virginia has an employment opportunity for an IT Manager. The IT Manager’s role is to ensure the effective operations of all data and voice communications in alignment with the business objectives of the Girl Scouts of the Commonwealth of Virginia (GSCV). The IT Manager will plan, coordinate, and support the daily data and voice operational activities of the organization.

The specific duties and responsibilities of the IT Manager include the following:
- Manage the day to day support of all IT systems, including servers, PCs, operating systems, hardware, software, and peripherals.
- Provide end-user services, including help desk and technical support services for all locations to include Fredericksburg Retail Shop and office, Mechanicsville office and Retail Shop, and satellite office environments in three metro Richmond locations.
- Benchmark, analyze, report on, and make recommendations for the improvement of daily IT related operations for GSCV.
- Process monthly billing invoices.
- Assist with the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures, which minimize costs and provide users with solutions to technology problems.
- Assist with the negotiations and administration of vendors, outsourcers, and consultant contracts and service agreements.
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:
· At least two years of “hands-on” computer desktop/telephone system oriented work.
· Experience with user interactions, handling of technical problems/issues and timely completion of assigned tasks.
· Experience troubleshooting user software and hardware problems with operating system platforms such as Microsoft Windows 98, 98 SE, 2000, NT, XP, Vista as well as Windows 7.
· Well-versed and knowledgeable in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox.
· Knowledge of setting up email accounts, new computers and phone users.
· System Administrator experience with Call Manager 4.1 or later.
· Ability to operate in proactive rather than reactive mode.
