IT Systems Analyst

Description:
Our client is a global Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) provider with over 25 years of experience working in partnership with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) in computer, industrial, communications, consumer, medical and renewable energy markets.

They have 4 manufacturing / technology centers worldwide, approximately 500,000 square feet of capacity, and more than 40 manufacturing and assembly lines. Their global footprint includes operations in Canada and the United States and low cost/higher volume manufacturing in Mexico and China.

Due to growth and demand they currently have a need for a number of IT Systems Analysts who are available to work Full time, Monday to Friday.

Key Candidate Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement ERP Technological solutions supporting SMTC Manufacturing operations in keeping with the organization's strategic plans and best practices.
  • Analyze Corporate ERP Requirements, development of specifications, and presentation of recommendations regarding technological solutions.
  • Implement approved projects, including but not limited to applications development, enhancement and dull systems migration, ensuring viability, integrity and security of information systems.
  • Day to day administration of ERP and business systems database and applications maintenance processes, including development and communication of policy and protocol related to information entry, tracking, analysis and reporting standards.
  • Conducts gap analysis, configuring, testing, troubleshooting, problem resolution, reporting, user security and access and user training.
  • Liaises regularly with Managers and staff in order to conduct needs assessment and articulate business systems solution requirements. Conducts research and monitors developments in the field related to ERP and technology solutions, evaluates same and proposes systems solutions and enhancements to ensure optimum service provision to staff and stakeholders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, related to the major responsibilities of the job.

    Requirements:
    Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science
  • 5+ years experience in supporting ERP Manufacturing Environment
  • Experience in Notes, Dominoes and Sharepoint
  • Experience in Max, Agile, Rapid Response/ Dynamics GP preferred
  • Experience with EDI and database information
  • Ability to write SQL script
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience writing technical and functional documentation
