ITU NURSES NEEDED IN SOUTH EAST LONDON

Hays Healthcare is currently looking for Full and Part Time ITU Staff Nurses to work on the ITU Department at a prestigious NHS Hospital based in South East London.

The ITU is a 15-bedded intensive care unit and 4 - Bedded Surgical Step down Unit (SSDU)/HDU, at the cutting edge of management of multi-organ dysfunction associated with liver disease. As a centre of excellence they also care for a broad range of other specialities including neurosurgery, cardiac surgery and haematology.

The Liver intensive care unit is the largest of its kind in Europe, and is at the forefront of research and the management of patients with liver diseases. As a specialist tertiary centre we care for patients from all over the UK and Europe, with a dynamic and committed team of staff.

To be successful for this position you must be able to demonstrate the following:

- At least 6 months current UK clinical experience.
- The ability to adapt to different hospital environments.
- Self-motivated, uses own initiative and excellent at making decisions.
- Able to work under pressure and respond effectively to challenging situations.
- Time management and effective delegation skills.
- Relevant critical care course and teaching course
- Whilst liver experience is advantageous, is not essential, the main focus is having critical care skills and experience.
