Position Summary:

Borden Dairy Company is currently looking for a JD Edwards Financial Systems Analyst for a full-time salaried position in Dallas, Texas.  Qualified candidates will have accounting experience, understanding of functional financial systems principles, and experience with J.D. Edwards EnterpriseOne in a power user or analyst capacity.   

The primary responsibility of the Financial Systems Analyst is to support users and maintain Borden Dairy’s financial system. This position will support the conversion of our dairies to the centralized general ledger and accounts payable system on the Enterprise One 8.11 platform.  Responsibilities during the project phase include working with finance and technical staff by leading data conversion efforts and training end users both on system functions and accounting standards.  Some travel (approximately 50-75%) may be required.  This position is also responsible for maintaining the financial integrities of the system and working with finance staff throughout the organization to meet reporting requirements.  Following the project phase this position will be the primary support analyst for the JDE financial system and will add additional reporting analyst responsibilities for Cognos Performance Analytics (GL AP). 

Responsibilities:

·         Performs analysis of data conversion specifications from existing general ledger and accounts payable systems, including chart of accounts mapping

·         Prepares data conversion test plans; supports users in parallel and conversion tests and confirms results

·         Develops or refines training materials and trains new users on EnterpriseOne 8.11 general ledger and accounts payable modules

·         Works with other members of project team to train users and support interfaces from route accounting system into financial system

·         Provides IT support for financial system questions and issues from end users

·         Performs report analysis for new requests from senior level management, accounting users, and auditors, including development of specifications, handoff to technical resources, and testing as needed

·         Develops/upgrades financial report writing skills in Cognos

·         Ensures that financial system documentation is updated according to IT standards

·         Provides or coordinates all tasks necessary to ensure smooth operation of financial system across multiple locations

 

Education and Experience Requirements:

·         Bachelors degree in finance or accounting

·         Minimum 5 years accounting or finance experience

·         At least three years of experience on J.D. Edwards

·         At least two years in a power user or J.D. Edwards analyst role supporting or implementing financial processes in JD Edwards One World XE or higher release level

·         Experience with setting up parameters and analyzing General Ledger and Accounts Payable modules

·         CPA designation preferred

·         General Ledger and Accounts Payable systems conversion experience helpful

·         Fixed Assets experience a plus

·         Cognos report writing experience a plus

·         Involvement in project upgrades, configuration, customizations, and implementations a plus

 

Preferred Non-Technical Experience

In this role project leadership, requirements analysis and documentation will be required thus this individual is expected to have the following non-technical experience:

·         Ability to communicate effectively with the business users in creating system and reporting requirements documentation

·         Ability to handle multiple tasks, projects and issues simultaneously
