Journeyperson Mechanic (Welder) (1809) Job in Lewiston 14092, New York US
The successful candidate will perform preventative and corrective maintenance duties within the Niagara Project's Mechanical Maintenance Department. The candidate will specialize in various welding tasks as assigned utilizing the skills associated with a journeyperson certification. All assignments must be completed efficiently, safely and with great attention to detail.
The position will require the ability to perform a variety of other mechanical maintenance tasks as assigned in addition to welding.
Required Skills
Successful candidate must be capable of performing all aspects of welding and other mechanical maintenance; both preventative and corrective. Skills must include proficiency in arc, gas, spot, MIG TIG welding.
Candidate should be skilled in performing mechanical maintenance duties within an industrial setting possessing familiarity with applicable safety concepts and standards,
Experience Required
Requires 8 years of experience as a journeyperson welder with experience in arc, gas, spot, MIG TIG welding. Must have journeyperson certification. Experience should include support of additional mechanical mainteance tasks involving millwright work, pipefitting as well as machine setting.
