Entry level Credit Admin position involves the introduction to Credit Risk which includes the structuring and auditing of credit underwriting documentation. Training consist of introduction to AIMS (Automated Information Management System/Loan System) (retrieving information), eCAP (electronic Credit Approval Process), CRIS (Credit Rating Information System) and Risk Policy. The Junior Credit Admin will assist the Credit Administrator Officers on a portfolio rotational basis of all aspects of managing a designated portfolio. This includes confirming all appropriate documentation has been attached to the credit approval document (via the ECAP), appropriate credit approval levels have been assigned correctly, as outlined by the Risk Policy Manual, borrower and facility (ies) ratings have been completed and structure and asset classification has been assigned correctly. Provide support in testing and confirming enhancements to eCAP and CRIS systems. Problem solving for the Junior CAO involves interaction with Users of the eCAP platform. This entails in responding to questions related to accessing, creating and submitting underwriting documents within the eCAP system. Complexity of the problems depends on the familiarity of the User of the platform. Trouble shooting questions could involve accessing problems; searching the database for prior proposals; creating new proposals with multiply entities; or formatting and printing documents. The CAO must response in a prompt manner when questions are received due to the time sensitivity of the credit proposals. Interaction is predominately internal. Risk is a Shared Service area, so clients are BNYM employees. Interactions are mostly the result from application issues, via the eCAP and the User is seeking assistance to rectify. The CAO serves as the liaison between the User and technology support and must coordinate between both areas and assist in rectifying problems, so the User can complete their credit transactions, which at times could be time sensitive. Therefore, sensitivity to stress related time frames must be considered.

Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor's degree, preferably in finance, accounting and/or mathematics or equivalent work experience in related fields. Strong organization, analytical and written and verbal communication skills are a prerequisite. PC literacy including proficiency in Excel, Word, and Internet is required.
