Junior Market Risk Analyst – Commodities Trading Firm
My client, a privately owned Commodities Trading House has a requirement for a Junior Market Risk Analyst to join their Risk Team to support the Market Risk Managers and Traders for the organisation.
The successful candidate will sit alongside the Traders and Market Risk Managers and produce the daily/weekly/monthly Market Risk Reports as well as providing analysis/commentry on position movements, work on ad hoc queries for the Traders, ensure that all the data is accurate and investigate anomolies.
The firm trade Physical Oil and Gas as well as financial derivatives for hedging purposes and they are expanding rapidly, hence the need for the hire.
Requirements:
- 1 - 3 years Market Risk experience with an exposure to Oil products
- Numerate degree (MSc preferred)
- Solid Excel and VBA skills (help to automate reporting process)
- Excellent communication skills
- Happy to work in a flat-structured environment and be flexible and hands-on
- Gas knowledge a bonus
