Lab Tech- Part time
Position: Quality Assurance Lab Technician (QA Lab Tech) - Part Time The following description outlines the general tasks of the Quality Assurance Lab Technician. Duties include, but are not limited to: Quality assurance testing of manufactured product in accordance with documented test procedures and lab instructions: Collect samples from production area Organize and prepare samples for QA testing Measure physical properties Manually document results, and input data into LFI database Maintain reports for daily records Test data is provided to customer in the form of a Certificate of Analysis (test report) with each order Perform in-process testing on regular intervals and provide direct feedback to Technical Operators, regarding glass microfiber properties, in order to control process and improve/ reduce scrap material. Perform testing during product grade changes or machine start-up (as required) in order to provide Machine Operators with feedback regarding run conditions and glass microfiber properties. Provide feedback to LFI Management with regards to run conditions and overall product quality in the form of verbal communication and established documented reports. Information will be used to analyze plant performance and determine opportunities for improvement as a means of continuous quality improvement. Additional duties may be required.
