Since 2001, Grifols has acquired 80 plasmapheresis donor centers within the USA. The donor centers derived from the following companies: Biomat USA, Inc. with 60 donor centers and two testing laboratories, Plasma Collection Centers, Inc., (PCCI) with 4 donor centers and Plasmacare, Inc. with 16 donor centers. These state of the art facilities collect human plasma from paid donors to create life-saving pharmaceutical products such as clotting factors, immunoglobulin and albumin for patients who suffer from bleeding disorders, immune system deficiencies, burns and shock.

Job Responsibilities: (include the following. Other duties may be assigned)

Receive, inspect and prepare donor plasma and serum specimens for laboratory testing in a high volume source plasma testing establishment.

Includes, but is not limited to the following responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Receive and visually inspect specimens for acceptability.
2. Organize and accession specimens for testing.
3. Document, investigate and resolve specimen receipt problems.
4. Accurately and consistently perform and complete all documentation required by regulatory agencies.

Experience/Qualifications Education Required: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Speak, read and write English. Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  3. Must be highly detail oriented with ability to focus for long periods of time at task at hand.
  4. Must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written and oral instructions.
  5. Possess the ability to deal with problems within the guidelines of standardized procedures.
  6. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and arms, talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
