Laboratory Network General Manager Job in Denver, Colorado Us

 

 

Position Overview:

The General Manager works in collaboration with the Network Executive Steering Committee and is responsible for the development, organization, implementation, and ongoing management of the Network activities. The incumbent will be empowered to establish a continuous improvement environment that maximizes resources, enhances service delivery, standardizes systems, and effects appropriate cost controls to ensure the Network's competitive position and success in the marketplace.

Major functions include:

·         Management and implementation of Network operations, including marketing, sales, finance, and operations

·         Coordination and participation in steering committee meetings and subcommittee

meetings with timely communication, minutes, and agendas

·         Development and implementation of the Network's strategic plans, including setting priorities, assigning responsibilities, and meeting goals and deadlines

·         Establishment and documentation of business-related policies and procedures, including ongoing compliance with all regulatory and accreditation agencies

·         Develop and maintain productive relationships and communications with all internal and external clients and colleagues

·         Overall responsibility for the success of the Network.

·         Collaborate with FLN Steering Committee to identify and recruit new members

·         Coordinate network activities with network consultants

 

Knowledge and Skills:

The applicant will have demonstrated successful leadership and management skills in a health care setting. Experience and understanding of managed care contracting and general business management, such as information systems, financial systems, and accounts receivable management. Knowledge of clinical laboratory operations including technical and logistical operation of outreach and reference laboratory services is critical. The applicant will be responsible for coordinating business and laboratory activities of the several clinical laboratories and must be comfortable interacting with a variety of people from both the Network and the health care industry, including physicians, administrative executives, and technical personnel. The ability to work with and direct teams to accomplish results and goals is critical.

Desired Credentials:

MBA or equivalent experience preferred and/or at least 5 years experience at a .management level position with proven track record of accomplishments in the health care industry.
