MDS Coordinator
The ideal candidate for this job will have previous
Skilled Nursing Facility experience with knowledge/training
in Medicare Reimbursement, MDS completion,
and utilization review in. The ability to
organize/prioritize tasks and basic computer skills
are required. Experience in managing
interdisciplinary team is preferred.
Job duties will include but are not limited to:
Preadmission screenings of clinically complex
and/or managed care patients.
Identification of Med A eligibility (initially and continuing).
Monitoring documentation nursing staff to evaluate support for
Medicare coverage and providing training as necessary.
Assessing and coordinating the care and services provided
to Medicare A patients including discharge planning.
Conducting daily Medicare Meeting
weekly Utilization Review Meeting.
The successful applicant will be expected to conduct his/her
job duties in accordance with the company’s policies, procedures,
and ethical code of conduct in a professional manner.
Normal working hours: Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Some weekend management duties
Occasional on-call responsibilities.
