No Job Description JOB DESCRIPTION:Manages administrative activities related to the provision of radiology services. Develops and administers policies, procedures, and budgets. Orients and trains personnel, distributes and supervises work assignments, and ensures an efficient and effective workflow. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or equivalent. Five years of experience in hospital radiology services including two years of supervisory experience or a bachelors degree with three years business experience. Addendum to Job Description Manages the daily operations of the Inpatient Radiology Department. Manages staff and assures appropriate staffing levels to provide appropriate patient care in a timely manner. This includes General Diagnostics, Ultrasound, CT, MRI, Special Procedures, Front Desk and Imaging Library. Ensures all OSHA, ACR, and JCAHO standards are maintained. Directly responsible for efficient customer service-oriented performance of staff. Facilitates communication between referring physicians, radiologists, Nursing and other departments. Assists Division Director of Imaging Services in planning, organizing and delineating duties and responsibilities of all personnel in all inpatient radiology areas. Maintains the highest standards of professional performance in SJH Radiology for the benefit of the patient, physician and community. Oversees the education of employees on the proper use of equipment, provides clinical support for solving problems. Works closely with the Division Director Imaging Services of the development and implementation of annual budget. Supports the Mercy philosophy. Adheres to the Standards of Excellence.
