Middle Office – Relationship Management Support – Trade Finance

This is an excellent chance to move into a more client facing role.

The Role:
• Candidate will be required to accompany the relationship managers on client visits.
• Help maintain relationships and build on existing business within the bank?s high performing Trade - Commodity finance team.
• This role will work directly with the relationship managers and will be liaising directly with clients.
• Checking of Documentary credits - letters of credit ( L-C?s )

Candidates looking to apply for this position must have:
• Good communication skills and ability to build relationships.
• Strong analytical skills- document knowledge- term sheets experience necessary
• Everyday experience of drafting and-or vetting import and-or export Letters of Credit (L-C) formats for clients prior to issuance
• Ideal candidate will be working as a middle or back office trade finance position as a credit analyst or as a front office documents clerk in trade finance
• Checked import documents, and processed bills and effected payments on maturity and reviewed and issued import Letters of Credit (L-Cs)
• Liaising and working with external clients, relationship Managers, middle office, treasury and FX departments and counterparty banks on a daily basis
• Successful candidate will need good communication skills to work closely with front office bankers- legal- risk and other teams
