Our client is an Australian Gold producer situated in the Goldfields region of Western Australia. They have a vision to continue growing and are committed to pursuing additional growth through joint venture agreements, acquisitions and exploration.

Throughout this role your key responsibilities will be to oversee the Mine Planning Engineer function and ensure delivery of all necessary technical and operational mine plans, mine designs and schedules. You will lead the planning team to develop daily, weekly, monthly and annual plans to the specific standards ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the mine.

In this position you will be required to liaise with the production engineers to ensure that short term plans are aligned with forecast and with all corporate technical team and site management to plan life of mine. As the Mine Superintendent you will be responsible for ensuring optimal extraction of targeted ore from the mine by providing timely advice on mine design and mining methods, mine plans and the resulting development and production schedules to achieve agreed outcomes.

You have spent at least seven years in a underground Mining Engineer role with the majority of your experience in a Mine Planning role. You are a technical expert thriving in a fast pace environment looking to join a successful company where you will have excellent career progression plans, outstanding salary package and work on a FIFO 8/6. To be successful in this role you will have a tertiary qualification or a degree in Mine Engineering and possess a W.A. First Class Mine Managers ticket.
