Job Description Major cement manufacturer is seeking a Mining Engineer in eastern Pennsylvania. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing and updating the mining plans for all plant locations. Responsibilities Developing mining strategies pertaining to expansion, stripping, planning, overburden utilization Developing and updating mining plans Providing on-going support to plant personnel on mining and crushing operations On-going review and improvement of mining related key performance indicators Estimating and updating mineral reserves for each plant Supporting permitting and compliance activities Reviewing contracts relating to mining activities Supporting the plants with mobile equipment utilization and procurement Requirements BS degree in Mining Engineering or Geology 8 to 10 years working as a Mining Engineer. 2 ? 5 years experience at the corporate level preferred. Prior experience with Open Pit Mining required Proven ability to liaise effectively with operations personnel and senior management Strong planning, negotiation and problem solving skills Solid computer skills including MS Office Ability to travel up to 40% of the time Requires physical dexterity to navigate through and around various job conditions, including climbing, walking on less than optimal surfaces Must be able to tolerate noise, dust, and dirty conditions Benefits Medical, dental, 401k Relocation available Job Number: 90164 Skills Questions you will be asked - Briefly summarize your experience working as a Mining Engineer in a cement manufacturing environment.
