The Molding Process Engineer is responsible for the following functions, including but not limited to:
- Maintaining TS16949/ISO14001 policies, procedures, work instructions and forms.
- Monitoring and maintaining injection molding machine parameters; able to adjust machine to maintain quality parts.
- Ability to program robots.
- Meeting/exceeding documented safety, quality and production goals.
- Ability to be effective in a fast-paced environment.
- Providing technical and managerial assistance to the Manager.
- Trouble-shooting of molding process and resin capabilities.
- Having thorough understanding of molding machine principles and functions, and plastic resins with their various processing differences.
- Having knowledge of basic mold design and function; some knowledge of tooling.
- Ability to recognize and correct molding problems of an elusive and/or deceptive nature.
- Must be able to work any shift and overtime.
Candidates should have the following qualifications and/or experience:
- Computer skills including Word, Excel, database management.
- High school graduate or GED.
- Automotive manufacturing experience a plus.
