Multiple Launch Rocket System Fire Direction SpecialistIf youre looking for a way to launch yourself in a new direction, then join the Army National Guards Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) team and watch your career take off.

The MLRS is a highly specialized system, using different pieces of equipment, and operated by a team of professionals. As a Fire Direction Specialist, you will record and transmit the firing and intelligence data for the MLRS team, using fire direction systems and voice radio.

While doing so, you will learn vital skills applicable in any civilian career: skills such as teamwork, discipline, and leadership. You will also be exposed to various computer systems used in targeting and communications.

Job training for the Multiple Launch Rocket System Fire Direction Specialist begins with nine weeks of Basic Training, where youll learn basic Soldiering skills. Following Basic Training, you attend Advanced Individual Training to learn specifics of your chosen specialty. Part of this time is spent in the classroom and part in a field environment.

Requirements
