Coordinates and supervises the nursing care given and all aspects of management for the Surgical Services department. This position reports to the Director of OR. The ideal candidate will have the ability to communicate effectively with the ability to handle multiple assignments, balance priorities and make sound decisions. Must be able to interact in a positive manner and to communicate well with patients, families, physicians and other hospital employees.
Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing preferred. 5 years of extensive and progressive experience in surgical nursing and in nursing management in an acute care facility preferred. Current RN license, state of Texas required and ACLS.
