Oracle Financials Developer Job in Danbury, Connecticut US
The principal focus of the Lead Developer is the implementation and support of the Oracle Financials product suite for the client's Danbury, Connecticut team. This individual is a technical and functional leader on the Oracle Financials team and fosters the team environment through active, hands-on participation and through coaching and mentoring. This individual makes and stands behind project decisions, seeking input and gaining consensus from all concerned parties and ensuring that all points are considered. He/she understands how all the project tasks fit together, interacts, and sets the priority of tasks based on business goals, time constraints and natural prerequisites. This individual influences those not under their direct control in order to remove project obstacles and ensure optimum outcomes. He/she anticipates changing circumstances by providing realistic plans to meet established deadlines. The lead analyst's principal goal is to use his/her technical, functional and leadership skills to achieve project success by demonstrating and inspiring team members to set higher levels of excellence.
This individual predominantly directs and participates in the efforts of project and/or support teams, and is expected to gain and demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of the development life cycle - analyzing/documenting requirements/specifications, design, development, testing/reviewing, deployment and maintenance.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensuring that functional/technical design specifications have been completed and distributed
- Coordinating all programming, testing and implementation efforts
- Anticipating and addressing project obstacles
- Ensuring that project adheres to established quality standards and measurements
- Ensuring that appropriate documentation has been completed and distributed to operations, configuration management, and business users before deployment
This individual must be proficient in all aspects of applications development. The individual will actively participate in team leadership, definition of development standards, and setting best practices, as well as perform coding and design.
Education / Experience Requirement:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in computer science
- 5+ years of production experience leading implementation and support for Oracle Financials including GL, AP, AR, and PA modules. Prior experience with integration of Oracle add-ons is beneficial
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex development activities
- Organized and detail oriented
- Must have an advanced understanding of programming techniques and industry trends
- Must be an expert in Oracle technology, but understand other trends/tools available outside that realm
