Outside Sales Associate Job in Tampa, Florida US

Position Purpose: Improves sales force efficiency and/or assigned account performance by generating leads and prospecting and servicing customers. Develops and demonstrates selling skills with the objective of transitioning to an Outside Salesperson role.

Position Summary:
Lead Generation and Revenue Growth: Focuses on measurable increases in revenue and customer base by generating and prospecting leads for assigned accounts and/or markets. Targeted accounts and markets may include smaller accounts with revenue opportunity less than $20,000, niche/non-traditional markets such as municipalities or entertainment, dormant/inactive call lists, or other business as assigned.

Customer Service: Builds customer relations by cold calling and visiting job sites. May accompany Outside Salespersons on calls to larger or key accounts. Gains the skills, knowledge, and experience to effectively service customers and to rent and sell equipment, services, and products.

Liaison between Sales Staff: Serves as a liaison between inside and outside sales by completing orders for additional rentals or sales. Refers new customers to inside sales for customer service support as necessary.
Coordinates with and/or passes leads to appropriate outside salesperson.

Sales Support: Provides outside sales support by preparing customer quotes, establishing pricing for tools and small equipment within guidelines, and delivering sales related reporting. Helps follow through and qualify internet sales opportunities.

Process Improvements: Assists branch locations by implementing, sustaining, and developing quality process improvements that focus on safety, financials, operations, and customer service. 

Minimum 6 months sales and customer relations experience.
- Requires High School diploma or equivalent certification with Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Communicates effectively verbally and in writing. Demonstrates effective interpersonal and influencing skills along with ability to learn and apply persuasive selling practices and techniques.
- Competent in understanding and communicating product and technical information.
- Holds valid driver’s license.
