Primary contact in the client servicing process for complicated, high visibility, high revenue MAS client relationships. Use investment knowledge to assist clients in the understanding and use of our performance measurement, portfolio risk analytics, universe comparison, and information delivery services. Understand client requirements for investment support and information delivery, and leverage existing products/services to meet these needs. Thoroughly understand complex investment strategies, including the use of currency overlays, derivatives, tactical asset allocation, and alternative investments, and how these strategies impact the risk/return dynamics of a client's portfolio. Analyze client's investment guidelines and risk compliance requirements in order to translate these into a comprehensive risk monitoring product. Responsible for the identification and cultivation of expanded business potential with existing clients through regular client interaction/visits. Act as coordinator and facilitator in working with other Mellon staff to respond and resolve client issues. Assume ultimate responsibility for client deliverables produced by product management, operations and MAS client service staff. Plan and prepare for client visits and presentations by creating effective agendas and presentation materials. Responsible for the ultimate client satisfaction with the MAS products/services. Participate in defining the product direction and development process for the products and services of MAS. Translate understanding of client's investment issues into effective product solutions. Address current product issues or problems with a proactive approach including; identification, documentation and suggested resolutions for the issue. Participate frequently, sometimes taking the lead role, in the marketing process for winning and retaining asset servicing business and establishing new MAS business. Bachelor Degree required or commensurate business experience. Minimum 10-12 years of investment industry and/or performance measurement experience. Very strong communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, are necessary. A strong understanding of performance measurement and investment analytics methodologies, securities analysis for various investment techniques, capital markets theory, as well as the dynamics of various investment strategies used by large institutional investors, is necessary. A comprehensive understanding of Bank of New York Mellon's businesses and products.

Qualifications

An MBA and/or CFA completion required with exceptions made only with 7-10 years of direct relevant experience.
