Portfolio Strategist | VP
This is a rare opportunity for candidates experienced in managing cross-asset portfolios to join one of the most successful asset management firms in the world.
Your role includes:
- Performing a mixture of fundamental and macro research to develop investment strategy for the team
-Assist with managing the total and active portfolios
- Recommending and developing models of asset class and active strategy return dynamics
- Lead the development of Quantitative Portfolio models and enhance the current analysis platform
- Helping to develop, and effectively convey the firms investment strategy
- Leading and managing project teams when called upon
- Contributing to the firm’s efforts to stay abreast of state of the art work in areas relevant to the functions listed above
Requirements:
- At least 8 years experience in a Research function within a Tier-1 Financial Institution. A minimum of 3 years within Portfolio Strategy, Tactical Asset Allocation and Portfolio Construction
- University Educated gaining at least an MSc in a technical field from a Top 20 University
- An analytical thinker, coupled with a strong sense of curiosity and innovation
- Demonstrated capability to implement and deliver relevant solutions to business problems
- Possess strong quantitative skills, with an excellent understanding of time series analysis and mathematical finance particularly as applied to analysing risk
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and project management skills
- Practical experience in the capital markets, ideally with a range of product experience
- Demonstrated capability to work independently and as part of a team
