Product Marketing Director, Treasury & Trading

Position Description:

The Product Marketing Director is ultimately responsible for implementing a pragmatic approach to the global marketing initiatives for the Treasury Trading businesses. This means developing the marketing plan from the strategic - business drivers, trends, problems, solution messaging and value propositions, through to tactical operations - collateral, campaigns, lead generation, customer retention and linkage with PR and internal communications.

The role is responsible for developing and implementing the agreed plan and ensuring that it is delivered against budget.
* Key Messaging - the product marketing director is responsible for working with the product teams to understand business drivers and how our solution suite can help Treasury and Trading managers/professionals at banks and brokers solve these market problems. This would lead to value proposition messaging that would ultimately drive all marketing campaigns and sales enablement.
* Sales enablement - communicate the value proposition of the products to the sales team and develop the sales tools that support the selling process of your products.
* Campaign Management - working with the product and sales teams, and incorporating the key messaging and value proposition positioning, the product marketing director will be responsible for developing key integrated marketing campaigns that help improve SunGard's position as a thought leader and solutions innovator, through to lead generation and nurturing and ultimately customer retention. The marketing plan would be implemented in conjunction with Capital Markets wider marketing team (marketing ops, global events and the business intelligence team) and would work with SunGard's Shared Services marketing team.
* Market intelligence - be the expert on your buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria.
* Demand generation - develop the strategy and manage the marketing programs that drive demand for your products in close association with the data and lead management team.
* Integrate research insights into campaigns and materials and provide marketing and GTM support for all research and insights. Infuse insights based messaging into all marketing communications materials created.
* The Budget - product marketing director will be responsible for managing their budget ensuring that campaigns are implemented not only against plan but within budget. An important aspect to this process will be understanding the ROI for each campaign. Pitching of ideas for increased share of budget is expected and encouraged.

Position Requirements:
* Extensive software product marketing experience with at least 5 years experience in a field facing role
* Minimum of a Bachelor's in business or marketing
* Experience in both product marketing and a marcomms role is essential. The candidate must be able to think and act strategically
* Experience in the financial services industry; preferably in the Treasury Trading space
* Proficiency in dealing with the conceptual requirements of developing and implementing marketing strategies
* Understanding of the marketing and product planning process
* Understanding key issues facing B2B marketers to maximize ROMI, with consultation on these issues and execution across the business
* Motivated to seek out new and creative ways to understand and solve marketing challenges
* Familiarity with current multi-media production capabilities and requirements
* Deep experience leading and working as part of a functionally and geographically diverse/ distributed team is desired
