Purchase Ledger Clerk, Northampton £14-15k

Our Client, a Global Leader in their industry based in Northampton, is looking to source the capabilities of a highly competent Purchase Ledger Clerk, who will instantly become a valued member of the team. Applicants must have at least 1 year's recent experience.

The successful candidate will have the following key responsibilities:
• Matching, batching and coding of invoices
• Completing payment details on claims systems
• Generate cheque, draft and electronic transfer payments from payment run report
• Assist in the completion of bank reconciliations
• Reconcile the payment run spreadsheet with bank account
• Maintaining the general ledger
• Reconcile control account on accounting database to bank account
• Knowledge of Sage would be beneficial

The successful candidate will have held a similar position in the past and be expected to develop and maintain excellent working relationships both with external clients and within the company. They will also be able to work to tight deadlines, and prioritise their work.
