Our client continues to be an industry leader in the specialized field of heat tracing technology, concentrated its efforts exclusively on heat tracing, the external application of heat to pipes,

tanks and instrumentation. They are currently looking for a Purchaser to join their team in Calgary

 

Responsibilities:

·                   Manage the purchase order processes as required, as well as report, track and expedite open (standing) purchase orders.

·                    Provide/ensure constant parts supply from suppliers.

·                   Effectively negotiate pricing delivery from local vendors to ensure inventory levels meet internal and external requirements.

·                   Process "external" parts orders via; phone, fax,  and e-mail

·                   Process "internal" parts orders as they relate to the Procurement Department.

·                   Provide technical parts services to; technicians, engineers, sales force as required.

·                   Receipt of data into business system.

·                   Manage inventory levels, part number creation and maintenance

·                   Work with shipping dept in reference to receipt of goods paper work and entry

·                   Develop and maintain strong relationship with vendors

 

Qualifications:

 

·                   A minimum of 3 years related experience in the petrochemical / EPCM environments or industrial

environment

·                   Purchasing electrical components is a definite asset

·                   Proficiency in standard purchasing  methods and established procedures

·                   Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written

·                   Strong organizational, leadership and teamwork skills

·                   Proficient with MS Office software
