Purchasing Manager (Agri) Job in Kilkenny Ireland

Key Responsibilities:
•    To purchase goods to required specification and manage selling price to achieve desired overall margin and market share goals.  
•    To work on strategic partnerships to guarantee supply of required goods at lowest cost.
•    To identify new sources of supply to deliver business objectives.
•    To manage the tendering process of seasonal ranges.
•    To undertake regular vendor rating and evaluation assessments to ensure best sources of supply.
•    To ensure supplier management plan and process is managed tightly to deadlines on annual purchasing calendar.
•    To work closely with relevant Category Managers to ensure best in class store merchandising.
•    To work closely with the Marketing and Retail Operations teams.
•    To maximise the utilisation of Assistant Purchasing Manager resource.
Experience and Attributes:
•    3rd level qualification in Purchasing or Business related subject.
•    3 - 5 years experience in a Purchasing role in the Agri sector.
•    Strong commercial awareness.
•    Proven Negotiating skills and experience.
•    Ability to use data statistics to solve problems and support strategy.
•    Organisational skills.
•    Financial analysis skills.
•    SAP Business Warehouse expertise.
•    Keen interest in farming activities.
