My client are a leading construction company within the Power Generation field. An exciting opportunity has arisen within the projects proposals team. The team are now is a position to appoint Purchasing Manager to provide efficient and cost effective purchasing as well as strategic direction for the Purchasing function.
Job Role - Key Duties
Management of purchasing resources consistent with requirements of projects, proposals and strategic initiatives
Monitoring of purchasing performance and managing any non-performance issues
Approval of project and product sourcing strategies
Managing master requisition tracking files for multiple projects
Expediting project purchasing activities in line with programme
Providing mentoring and training of purchasing personnel
Candidate - Key Requirements
Significant experience working in a Procurement Function in the Power Generation
and/Process industrial sectors
Management of staff to deliver tactical and strategic procurement on a project basic
Effective Communication skills
Thorough understanding of best practice Purchasing Processes
Ability to develop purchasing and sourcing strategies on a project basis and on a strategic
multi-project basis
Ability to lead, co-ordinate and motivate purchasing team members to deliver purchasing
excellence on multiple projects
