Quality Control Coordinator Shipbuilding

As a QC Coordinator you are responsible for co-coordinating available resources to ensure adequate QC coverage for RM (Repair and Maintenance) projects for our fleet and equipment, and co-coordinating required inspection at vendors/suppliers. Your tasks, among others are to review ITT's and contractual requirements for adequate QC content, to prepare relevant tender and project QC documents, to review subcontractor's documents and to conduct audits. Additionally you will select, allocate and coordinate QC inspectors according to project requirements and standards and monitor their work and performance.
 
Your field of expertise is shipbuilding.
 
The Department

The objectives of the Quality department are to maintain and improve Quality Control standard, to advise the Project Manager in all quality issues, and to verify product compliance with clients and industrial standard.

You have:

- BSc in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Naval Architecture; 
- Minimum of 5 years site QC/inspection experience with shipbuilding and ship repair;
- A good understanding of equipment produced for the Oil Gas industry and shipbuilding industry;
- Working knowledge of NDE techniques, such as dye penetrant, magnetic particle, radiography;
- Good command of the Dutch language, both written and spoken; 
- A good command of English, both written and spoken;
- Prepared to work temporally offshore on vessels or onshore fabrication yard.
