Quality Assurance Business Analyst/IT
Position objectives
* Design and implement Quality Assurance processes, roles and rules in order to increase software quality of Asset Management applications
* Coach Quality Assurance members engaged in different Asset Management projects located in Zurich, London and New York
* Support End-to-End test management activities for Asset Management
Main tasks and activities
Responsible for establishing and managing software Quality Assurance processes for Asset Management ensuring all stakeholders are involved and responsibilities are clarified. Ensure that key controls will be developed together with Asset Management application owners and approved by stakeholders (located in Zurich, London and New York) according to internal Quality Risk methodology and tools.
Quality Assurance Tasks
* Set up a Quality Assurance Unit for Asset Management together with the Head of Quality Assurance Asset Management and external resources
* Define, document and implement Quality Assurance best practices including continues improvement and change management processes
* Prepare and conduct workshops with Quality Assurance project members of various projects in different Swiss Re locations
* Coach 'Embedded Quality Assurance' project members and key stakeholders in Quality Assurance methodology and tools
* Definition and recurrent measurement of software quality KPIs
* Work with business users in order to tackle and prioritize quality issues
* Identify quick wins in terms of improving Software Quality
* Regularly present Quality Assurance figures and key achievements to Senior Management
* Setup of a shared communication, monitoring and presentation platform for Quality Assurance including a 'Software Quality Dashboard'
* Creation of standard project deliverables and training material
End-to-End Test Management Tasks
* Conduct incident Management for E2E tests with tracking, prioritization and resolution through a test tool
* Communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders
Interaction with other internal/external parties or units
* Open to work with different cultures
* Close interaction with release, project, test and application managers
* Give presentations to Senior Msureanagement
Representation activities
* Representation of overall Quality Assurance and End-to-End testing activities within Asset Management
How success will be measured
The success will be measured through the performance manager. The measurement criteria's will be determined on the personal- and the team level
* At least 5 years experience in Software Quality Assurance with project management a plus
* Strong knowledge of software Quality Assurance best practices and methodologies in a complex environment
* Strong customer orientation: work experience in a consultant role advantageous
* University degree in software engineering, computer science, or business administration or equivalent work experience
* Asset Management know-how required (very good understanding of front to back office processes as well as basic understanding of financial instruments)
* Ability to develop and maintain partnerships with stakeholders
* Willing to work within a global team
* Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
* Excellent command of English language with German as an added plus
* Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
* Travel 5-10% annually
