Quality Engineer Job in Pensacola 32501, Florida US

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participate in corrective and preventive actions, change control process, risk assessments, and customer complaint resolution

• Plan and conduct Test Method audits; provide recommendations for retraining and/or methods improvement where necessary

• Audit training of new technicians in areas related to conformance testing and support production in SPC training

• Conduct trend analysis on historical data to identify process improvement opportunities

• Conduct statistical analyses and evaluate process capability

• Provide on-floor support for analysis of process and product nonconformance and recommend corrective and preventive actions, where necessary

• Lead internal audits for ISO-9001: 2000, ISO-14001:2004, and cGMP compliance

• Support process improvement through designed experimentation (DOE)

• Support product and process validation activities

• Plan, schedule, direct, and evaluate RR studies to decrease test variation due to operator, test methods, and equipment

• Provide recommendations for improving the quality of products, processes, and information systems.

• Maintain product specifications and process targets as they apply to the statistical process control system.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Qualified candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline.

• 2-5 years related experience, or equivalent combination of total experience.

• Familiar with common electronics laboratory instruments and common mechanical inspection tools.

• Knowledgeable in designing and/or implementing statistical process control (SPC) programs

• Knowledge of medical device quality system regulations (FDA, QSR), Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and ISO 13485 standards highly desired.

• ASQ certified Quality Engineer and/or Quality Auditor preferred.

• Knowledge of statistics, trend analysis and metrology.

• Teambuilding skills and aptitude.

• Knowledge of and ability to use Microsoft Office applications including Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Knowledge of Quality Analyst or MiniTab is a bonus.

• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form with all levels of personnel.
