Quality Technician

Quality Technician The successful candidate will ensure that product testing and documentation is conducted to support customer quality levels. Analyzing and communicating trends in quality data is required in order to ensure that customer quality is controlled. ESSENTIAL DUTIES · Perform all required tests for production daily runs. This includes tensiles, flat plate impact, insertions and dimensional checks. · Conduct 1 st piece evaluations for new molds, refurbishments and mold specifications. · Perform incoming mechanical inspection on variety of components parts. · Maintain data input into SPC files. Monitor SPC trends and report alarms to production. · Assist production teams in process/product related problem solving activities. · Evaluate customer returns and complaints, establish root cause s and recommend actions. · Assist product support activity and RD with testing and evaluations. · Conduct final warehouse/outgoing product audits. · Maintain QA Lab to ISO standards. · Conduct internal quality audits. · Track and report on corrective actions and deviations. QUALIFICATIONS · Minimum HS school diploma/GED; AS in a related field preferred. · 3 years experience in a quality role or closely related product support role. · Proven skills in parts testing and dimensional metrology. · Skilled using optical comparator, calipers, pin gages, snap gages, micrometer, and similar. · Familiarity with moisture analyzer, impact testing and tensile testing would be a plus. · Experience working within ISO environment is required. · Strong preference to candidates with experience in the plastics industry. · ASQC coursework and/or certification a plus. · Skills with MS Office are essential - emphasis on MS Excel and MS Word.
