Ratings Advisory Analyst (Financial Institutions / Credit)

A Ratings Advisory Analyst is required by Societe Generale to work in an exciting opportunity within the Financial Institution Team. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with experience within a ratings agency to take the next step within an well known international investment bank.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your main responsibilities will be;

*Research on companies and markets
*Prepare presentations to clients
*Collection and collation of financial and rating related data including the creation and maintenance of associated databases
*Analysis and comparison of rating agency methodologies
*Development and use of rating related models
*In charge of daily update on rating changes for FI (internal)
*In charge of the bi-weekly newsletter (including writing) on FI ratings sent to clients

PAST EXPERIENCE

*Degree/MSc in finance, business studies or related topic
*Credit experience or FI exposure required
*You will have previous experience within a ratings agency ideally

TECHNICAL SKILLS

*Good knowledge of general accounting. Insurance and bank accounting would be a plus
*Some knowledge on financial analysis (drivers, ratios). Insurance and bank analysis would be a plus
*Proven analytical, computing skills. In particular Excel as need to optimize models may be required
*Strong interpersonal skills indispensable
*Strong written, communication and presentation skills required (client contact)

*It will involve working in a fast paced and demanding environment
*It requires you to have a strong interest and understanding of financial markets
*You will be autonomous in assigned projects
*Willingness to meet deadlines and be flexible on working hours
