Risk Analyst – Business Continuity Management recruitment

The Risk Analyst has a direct line responsibility to the GSO Hub Manager.

Responsibilities inlude:

- Review and follow up with Local Safety Security Officers (LSSOs) on Safety Security issues affecting Swiss Re locations. 

- Monitors the implementation of the BCM program Group-wide, follows up on open issues, testing activity and lessons learned, and manages related reporting activities.

- Provide support and guidance to Business Units and Operations functions in the development of new and existing continuity plans.

- Acts largely autonomously in his/her area of competence.

- Active involvement in discussions with plan owners and approvers regarding compliance with Swiss Re BCM policies and standards.

- Provides advice and guidance to Local Business Continuity Managers and Location Heads on testing programmes.

- Provides support to offices during operational disruptions, as required.

-Pro-actively monitors the status of BC plans (including related open issues) Group-wide

- Follows up when and where plan development/maintenance is about to fall behind schedule

- Administers data imports into GRACE (Swiss Re’s digital platform for BCP building), eg from HR system, Enterprise Architecture, Global Telephone Directory, etc, and the planned staff notification tool

- Assists in obtaining access for GRACE BCM users

- Generates GRACE data exports for BCM KPI reporting

- Assists GRACE BC plan owners in non-routine maintenance work, e.g. related to organisational or personnel changes, test documentation and setup of new plans

- Keeps track of milestones agreed with plan owners

- Takes minutes of meetings related to Group BCM and Safety Security meetings

- Liaison with, and support for LSSOs on Safety Security policy compliance.

- Follow up with LSSOs on detailed action items arising from Safety Security On Site Reviews undertaken by the GSO.

Compliance and controlling activities:

Implementation monitoring of BCP development, maintenance and testing

Quality control of BC and Safety Security documentation

Representation activities:

Initial point of contact for standard BCM support

Interaction with other parties:

Interacts on a day-to-day basis with GSO Hub Managers, and LBCMs and LSSOs as required.

Maintains strong ties with functional and business representatives responsible for business continuity management

Job Requirements:

- University/college or higher education degree with experience in the field of operational risk management, business continuity or project management

- Excellent communication skills in English, in word and writing.

- Strong team player with multi-cultural understanding and possibly work experience

- Very result oriented, e.g. able to accept and push for pragmatic solutions, set priorities

- Great familiarity with Microsoft Excel, and possibly other database programmes

- Keen to learn usage of other applications used in the Group Security Office

- Quick grasp of organisational and business concerns

- Easily able to interact with any level of the organisation

- Structured and diligent work style, with flexible attitude towards his/her work performance and load
