Job Description
- Senior position reporting to the Branch Manager providing solutions to Risk issues
- Developing strong relationships with staff
- Providing guidance to advisers relating to their regulatory and risk obligations and managing any problems they may have
- Review all supervisory reports, document follow up actions and conduct email and correspondence review
- Approve large orders, errors, commission journals and communication requests
- Detailed document account reviews with financial advisors and client contact
- Guidance and sign off for complex accounts across all product areas which include; equities, wholesale, options, fee based, discretionary and international accounts
- Work with the compliance team
- Provide an ongoing structured training program for support staff encompassing procedures, policy and business matters
- Work closely with national risk team
The Successful Applicant
- Strong knowledge of Australian and US securities regulations and compliance requirements such ASX Market Rules, Securities Clearing House Business Rules, Australian Clearing House Rules, Corporation Act and ASIC policies
- ASIC RG 146 Compliant
- ADA 12
- Successful completion of ASX Broker Exam would be a bonus
- Ability to Identify Risk and minimize potential liabilities to the business
- Extensive knowledge of financial market fundamentals and the ability to apply the knowledge to ensure technical or professional solutions are delivered
- Strong Leadership Skills
- Highly developed Interpersonal, negotiation and relationship management skills, including dispute resolution and relationship building
