Senior China Economist

Descrption:
- Research and write timely notes on the Chinese economic outlook, business cycle, and policy
- Manage the China economic team’s daily and product
- Communicate the China team’s macro views to internal and external clients
- Interact with clients, external experts, and government agencies
Our ideal candidate should have the following requisites:
- Strong economic background such as a Ph.D or Masters degree in economics is preferred, a degree in finance or other relevant fields with solid understanding of economic concepts and models will also be considered
- Strong analytical skills, good understanding of the Chinese economy
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English a must, good Mandarin skills desirable
- A minimum of 5 years of post-graduate work experience in other financial institutions, international organizations, or research consultancies
- A strong team player who is also able to work independently
