Sharepoint Architect Job in Montgomery, Alabama US

The Sr. SharePoint Solutions Architect provides technical and consultative leadership for technical solutions opportunities on a range of complex IT consulting engagements for a large enterprise information technology environment. These projects may include analyzing requirements, implementation, customization, integration and documentation for the customer. This position will work closely with internal teams and customers to ensure a smooth implementation and transition from start-up to integration/production mode. The Sr. SharePoint Architect will ensure the successful execution of all engagements including evaluating strategic business issues, identify requirements, create business case justifications, and propose appropriate enterprise solutions. Other duties and responsibilities include:
Expert level SharePoint Experience with SharePoint 2007 (MOSS) and SharePoint 2010 with mid to large enterprise deployments using Microsoft best practices.
In-depth knowledge of system design and architecture in 2007 and 2010 and experience in both distributed/multiple farm architecture and design.
Experience in VB.net, C#.net, web parts, work flows, master pages, Ajax, detailed knowledge of the SharePoint 2007 object model / 2010 client object model, JavaScript, Powershell experience etc.
Knowledge of SQL 2005 and SQL 2008 R2 security and authentication processes as it related to SharePoint technologies. High level knowledge of database mirroring/replication along with backup and recovery techniques within SQL 2005 and SQL 2008 R2 technologies.
Fundamental knowledge of Active Directory as it related to SharePoint 2007 and SharePoint 2010.
Understanding of virtualization and its impact on proposed solutions.
Fundamental knowledge of networking concepts and troubleshooting such as DNS, Network Load Balancing and basic firewall concepts as it relates to SharePoint 2007 and SharePoint 2010.
Experience with conducting mid to large content/farm migrations involving multiple farms in both SharePoint 2007 and SharePoint 2010 environments including the use of well-known third party tools like AvePoint.
Understanding of different disaster recovery solutions for SharePoint.

Required
6-10+ years of intensive experience in the analysis, design, implementation, and support of large complex applications
Extensive experience with SharePoint including SPS 2010, SPS 2007, SPS 2003, Windows SharePoint Services, SharePoint Web Part Development

Desired
Experience with InfoPath Development
Experience migrating from SPS 2007 to SPS 2010
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
Experience with ECM technologies such as KnowledgeLake
Microsoft Certified Master (MCM) for SharePoint or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) for SharePoint
