Position will be responsible for coordinating shipping/receiving documentation, verifying, receiving customer shipments and shipments of assigned customers' orders in an efficient and timely manner to meet on time delivery. Coordinator will also facilitate the structuring of each shipment and logistics of the customers' orders to minimize costs and ensure customer satisfaction. He/she will also facilitate the movement of TBS materials received and stored in off-site locations.
Additional Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring that a valid customer purchase order exist for all materials received for processing, resolve any instances of unidentified materials received, and provide a valid receiving report for off-loading.
- Ensuring that orders are prepared and shipped in a timely manner to meet promised delivery dates following Timken Standards. Monitoring the Shipping Open Order Status report WIP system to advise the CRM Rep (customer care), customer, district sales office of issues that would delay shipments.
- Responsible for investigating any Order Entry or Operations errors or perceived errors before shipping the product to the customer.
- Responsible to make sure all metallurgical, credit, customer, and overage/shortage releases are cleared before shipment is made.
- Constant communication with CRM Reps, some customers, district sales offices, and operating personnel. Position will also work with Shift Supervisors and Area Managers to determine priority of orders to be prepared for shipment.
- Coordination of shipments for all steel plants, FSP, GSP, HSP, and off site warehouses. Structure loads in the most efficient, cost effective manner to satisfy customer requirements and reduce costs to The Timken Company.
- Shipping of orders with proper regard to blocking, tagging, and loading instructions. Provide input problem solving of customer complaints related to administrative errors.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma and minimum of 7 years of related experience
Preferred:
- Associates Degree in Business
- Bachelors Degree in Business
- License or Certification in Inventory Management Inventory Control
- License or Certification in Shipping Logistics International Shipments
- Knowledge in Freight and Transportation regulations
