Site Operations Manager – Mineral Processing & Crushing Plant Job in Tenterfield 2372
Leading company in the industrial mining service industry is now looking for a Site Operations Manager, responsible for the mineral processing department and delivery of end product to client. Reporting into the Regional Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the development and management of large in-house and contract projects.
Key accountabilities:
- Build business success by effective management of all areas across the operation: mining, production, maintenance, dispatch and administration functions.
- Promote and provide EHS and Quality leadership within area of responsibility.
- Assist with implementing and maintaining the EHS program at the site.
- Deliver on short and medium term improvements (mechanical and process)
- Setting direction and leadership by actively promoting proactive safety and working behaviors.
- Ensuring there are appropriate systems including strategy development, contract management, continuous improvement, and performance reporting developed and operating effectively.
Experience in Quarry, Crushing or Mineral Processing management would be an advantage however not necessary; ideally you will have an operations or services background with contacts and overall site/plant management exposure.
To be considered, you will need to meet specific requirements:
- +5 years in Management/Engineering/Processing industry.
- Relevant engineering qualifications.
- Extractive Industries Certificate or equivalent Quarry Management.
- Ability to facilitate meetings and to build team capability.
- Basic accounting principles.
- Budget and cost control exepriecne.
- Strong Interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- High level understanding of manufacturing and maintenance methodologies and improvement processes.
