Job Description
Big League Dreams Sports Parks, the premier developer of recreational sports complexes, has an excellent opportunity for a Soccer League Coordinator at our Mansfield, Texas location. We are seeking a dependable self starter with excellent communication and computer skills. The successful candidate will be able to work independently while contributing as team players. The position requires coordinating and executing our soccer program in Mansfield. A background in recreation or sports is required. A college degree is desirable. This position requires the ability to work nights and weekends.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
* Promotion and solicitation of leagues and tournament play.
* Register and classify teams and players.
* Hire, train and schedule officials and scorekeepers.
* Schedule league games and officials.
* Coordinate tournaments including budgeting and scheduling.
* Supervise league and tournament play.
* Mediate and resolve all on and off-field objections and protests.
* Maintain all team records and standings in a timely manner.
* Plan and coordinate sports activities for special events.
* Perform all duties required to open and close the park.
Qualifications and Requirements:
* Minimum of three years of experience in the recreation or related industry as a supervisor or lead employee.
* Experience in interfacing with employees and the general public.
* Must have complete knowledge, or proven ability to learn, the rules and regulations in the assigned sports program.
* Excellent communication/writing/computer skills.
* Extremely organized with a flexible upbeat attitude.
