About the Position
This position is part of the Sony DADC Maintenance team at our Fishers Sony DADC location. This position is responsible for maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of high speed sortation and packaging equipment.
Key Responsibilities
· Troubleshooting and program PLC’s (Program Logic Controls) related to sortation equipment.
· Conduct daily inspections of equipment.
· Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures.
· Determine root cause of failures and problems with sorter and packaging equipment.
· Repair mechanical, electrical and automation issues related to sorter.
· Work with sorter attendants to assure they have adequate operational and troubleshooting skills.
Qualifications
· Associates degree in Pneumatics or Automation or 5+ years hands on experience with automated equipment to include troubleshooting and programming PLC’s.
· Thorough knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic and electrical concepts.
· Ability to read and understand electrical schematics for automation equipment.
· Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and Access databases.
· Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel.
· Able to work different shifts as required plus overtime as needed.
